One of our specializations is the manufacturing, maintaining and repairing of dental prostheses, i.e. artificial dentures in Amsterdam Noord and in Zaandam. We have more than 30 years of experience in this field. We are equipped with a dental laboratory in all of our practices which means that we can execute all of this on our own. For you as a patient there are lots of benefits in this.
When do you need a denture? This question can only be answered after a check-up by the dentist. This also depends on the health and condition of your teeth. A dentist will never pull healthy teeth. This is ethically not justified. The more unhealthy teeth to pull, the more likely it is that you need a denture.

We understand better than anyone that a switch to dentures can be a very big step. Therefore it is very important that you are well informed in advance. In the past you were not immediately fitted with your new dentures. As a result, it could happen that you lived without teeth and a denture for a few months. Nowadays it is possible to be appointed with an immediate prosthesis, at which you will get your first denture straight after pulling the last teeth.
An immediate denture can be complete as well as partial, but it’s always a temporary solution. After pulling the teeth, the jaw first has to recover before a definitive prosthesis can be placed. The recovery time differs per person and can go up to one year.
In some cases, you cannot get a normal denture. This may have to do with your jaw shape or if your jaw has already shrunk because you already have dentures. In such case, a normal denture will stay loose in your mouth and talking, laughing or eating will be very difficult. The shape of your jaw no longer offers a fit for dentures. In this case, a dentist will recommend a click denture. A benefit of this is that a click denture will stay very firm because of the four (or more) implants, but on the other hand it will still be easy to put in the mouth. Your jaws won’t shrink any further on the place of your implants.
In Amsterdam Noord staat de heer Alfredo Diaz graag voor u klaar met al uw vragen over uw prothese. Of dit nu geldt voor het aanmeten, passend maken of andere reparaties aan uw prothese. U kunt ervan uitgaan dat u dezelfde dag nog geholpen wordt. Sommige reparaties voeren wij zelfs uit terwijl u wacht.
Op het Distelplein bevindt zich ons tandtechnisch laboratorium waar wij kleine reparaties en rebasingen kunnen uitvoeren. Bij complexe reparaties zullen wij uw prothese in Zaandam repareren. Dit zal altijd in overleg gebeuren.

In Zaandam hebben wij een vast team van tandtechnische medewerkers. U zult al bij de eerste afspraak kennis maken met prothese technicus de heer R. Schmidt, inmiddels al meer dan 15 jaar werkzaam in onze vertrouwde tandartspraktijk op de Rustenburg in Zaandam. In samenwerking met de tandarts gaat hij bij de eerste afspraak al gelijk voor u aan de slag. Ook voor prothese reparaties en rebasingen staat hij voor u klaar.
Hij wordt bijgestaan door het tandtechnisch laboratorium op de eerste verdieping. Hierdoor kunnen wij snel, efficiënt en vakkundig handelen en zit uw prothese binnen een mum van tijd weer als gegoten.
